DAX Day Trader Robot Installation

In this guide, we will look at how to install your DAX Day Trader System and how to set it up.

In order to install the DAX Day Trader Robot you will need to load the DAXDAYTRADER.ex4 or DAXDAYTRADER.ex5 file (.ex4 is for MetaTrader 4 and .ex5 is for MetaTrader 5) into the platform’s EXPERTS folder. Then go back and find PRESETS folder and place the files that are in the PRESETS folder (labelled mt4 and mt5 depending on which platform using). Now restart your MT4/MT5 platform.

DAX Day Trader System Setup

Once you restart your MT4/MT5 terminal after installing the EA, you should see DAX Day Trader in the Expert Advisor tree in the Navigator window. Now we need to open the windows within MetaTrader 4/5 for the currency pairs that the robot will be trading on.

You will be looking for one pair, depending on the broker it can be classified as one of the following: DE30, DE40, DAX30, DAX40, GER, GER30.

Open 3 Charts of The Same Pair

For each pair you need to set them to a different time frame. One chart should be M15, another M30, and one H1.

When you have all 3 charts open for the appropriate instrument, drag the DaxDayTrader EA to the first chart, the M15 time frame.

STEP 1: Load Set File

First, we are setting up for DAX M15, you will need to load the SET file when you are under inputs before adjusting settings. Simply click LOAD, then look for the M15 set file and select it, then click OK. Next, enter your email address and receipt you used to activate DAX Day Trader in the respective input fields. Then proceed to the next instructions below to make sure you have correct start time, stop time, and proper risk.

Note: Once you have finished this one you will need to do the same process on the DAX M30 chart, then DAX H1 chart, but you will be loading the SET file that has the respective chart time frame.

STEP 2: Confirm your HourStartTrade and HourEndTrade settings are correct

DAX Day Trader EA works in the following trading hours: 9am CET – 8pm CET. This coincides with the start of the DAX open in Frankfurt. This means the first trade can’t be placed until this time.

So first in settings we must make sure the <HourStartTrade> and <HourEndTrade> on the inputs of the Expert Advisor are correct.

Here are some examples of correct settings:

• For GMT+0 Brokers: HOURSTARTTRADE = 8 and HOURENDTRADE = 19
• For GMT+3 Brokers: HOURSTARTTRADE = 11 and HOURENDTRADE = 22

Make sure to LOAD set file in each case, and set this for M15 chart, then LOAD on M30 chart and change this setting, then LOAD on H1 chart, and change these settings.

WAIT before you click OKAY, you MUST set your desired risk / lot size!

STEP 3: Set your Desired Risk

Use the following chart below to determine the best lot size to use on your account. You should set Start Lot and Max Lot based on the recommendations in the chart below based on your contract size for your broker. If your account size is different simply divide or multiply accordingly.

• If you have a $10,000 account just double start lot and max lot.
• If you have a $2,500 account simply divide Start lot and max lot in half.
• And if you are using $1,000, then multiply by .2 to get the proper lot size.

STEP 4: Complete Setup

Nothing else needs to be adjusted. You should have entered your email, receipt, lot size, max lot size, start hour, and stop hour.
